Meet Mr. Biscoe-Taylor

Welcome to my tutoring courses website. I’m Mr Biscoe-Taylor, and I bring over a decade of experience in teaching and tutoring mathematics across a wide range of educational settings. My career has taken me through comprehensive schools, specialist ASD provisions, and currently, I serve as Head of Mathematics at a leading independent school – a role that allows me to shape and influence high-quality mathematical education every day.

I hold a degree in Mathematics and Education, a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Advanced Mathematics. I also specialise in the teaching for mastery approach, which is at the heart of effective and lasting mathematical understanding. These qualifications, coupled with my practical teaching experience, enable me to offer exceptional, research-informed tutoring tailored to the individual needs of each student.

In addition to classroom teaching, I have delivered training and CPD sessions for fellow maths teachers and departments, sharing best practices and supporting school-wide improvement. I am committed to ongoing professional development, which ensures that my tutoring remains current, effective, and aligned with the demands of today’s GCSEs.

One of my proudest professional accomplishments is maintaining a 100% success rate with my tutoring students. This is largely thanks to the TRIP system – a unique revision and learning method I have developed over many years.
